Scheduled to begin welcoming guests in late 2012, this exciting addition to the South Beach hotel scene is the reincarnation of the historic and much-beloved Royal Palm Hotel.

Situated in the heart of South Beach, the hotel is immersed in a vibrant scene of all that’s new. Night or day, a distinct energy is in the air; sparked by travelers, trendsetters, and creative personalities at the forefront of defining what’s next.
The South Beach hotel will house two dining options including signature restaurant, Florida Cookery, led by local Miami Chef Kris Wessel, featuring hyper-regional Florida fare; and CATCH, a globally influenced seafood restaurant from New York City’s EMM Group. In addition, The James Royal Palm will offer two swimming pools with cabanas, poolside bar, lobby lounge and coffee bar, full-service spa, Lil’ James offerings for children, retail shop, a curated collection of art, gym and more.
Indicative of The James brand persona every detail of The James Royal Palm will be meticulously chosen and artistically inspired. The overall renovation will be respectful of the original Royal Palm's history, with several design elements paying homage to the art deco roots of the original hotel as well as the local area.
The James Royal Palm will serve as a modern tribute to the building's rich history, keeping intact many signature elements of the original architect's design. Similar to The James Chicago and The James New York, the overall design at The James Royal Palm will be modern and residentially-inspired, with a focus on local art and environmentally thoughtful touches, such as reclaimed materials and natural fibers.

Summary: As a Lobby/Door Assistant you will be responsible for genuinely caring about our guest; assisting with arrivals and departures, making strong emotional connections by providing a guest centric service at all times.
Essential Functions:
Assists guests with their belongings and informs them about the hotel and our facilities
Greets and welcomes every guest upon arrival.
Responds quickly to all guest requests in a caring friendly and professional manner, consistently follow up to ensure guest satisfaction that meets and exceed our services standards.
Has knowledge of the hotel surrounded area, such a pharmacy, theaters, Public Transportation, Retail, and Restaurants etc.
Delivers faxes, messages, packages and flowers for guests, and undertakes any other requests to ensure their comfort
Collects and returns outgoing guest laundry and dry cleaning
Performs light cleaning in the lobby, corridors and entrances by picking up litter, emptying ashtrays and properly arranging furniture
Observes any maintenance or housekeeping needs in corridors, lobby and guest rooms and reports needs to Front Office Supervisor
Has knowledge of all in-house and city functions in order to answer guest inquires quickly and knowledgeably
Is aware of daily group arrivals and departures and ensures the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage
Assists guests to bring luggage from room to hotel entrance
Stores and receives luggage when requested; issues completed claim checks to guests when storing luggage
