Sales Manager - Corporate
Position Description
Sales Manager is responsible for: managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction; and ensuring all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business. Requirements include: the ability to effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner; the ability to meet/exceed client needs and resolve complaints; and knowledge of departmental interaction and organizational structure in a hospitality context.
The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, soliciting and closing business on the corporate segment, including both existing accounts and new accounts within this segment to positively impact hotel revenues.
This positions requires strong negotiation skills and good judgement, as well as the ability to work well with other departments and maintain strong interpersonal relationships. Proven experience in maintaining and building relationships with existing accounts, while agressively developing new business. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Sales experience in the corporate segment a plus. Sales experience at a limited service hotel a plus.
The candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years of sales management experience. Candidates with a solid background in direct sales or with the SMERFE segment will also be considered. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge. Candidates should be detailed oriented, organized and able to handle a fast paced environment.
