Job Description

¨ Ensures that assigned linen room closets are stocked
at par.

¨ Empties GRAs linens on an hourly basis or as needed.

¨ Empties GRAs garbage on an hourly basis or as needed.

¨ Keep the chute rooms clean.

¨ Keep corridors on guest room floors clean.

¨ Keep areas by the vending machines clean.

¨ Moves furniture upon request.

¨ Completes guest requests.

¨ Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

¨ Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and
clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers
and guests.

¨ Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a
friendly, service oriented manner.

¨ Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel
standards, as required by scheduling which will vary
according to the needs of the hotel.

¨ Maintain high standards of personal appearance and
grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and
nametag when working.

¨ Comply at all times with Hotel standards and
regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel
operations.

¨ Check daily assignments/daily duties.

¨ Gather all cleaning supplies and return them daily.
Compete all assigned cleaning duties in designated area.

¨ Report any engineering problems or repairs to
Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.


¨ Return any borrowed items (i.e. irons, boards,
hairdryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Department when taken
from guest room.

¨ Vacuum floors in public areas.

¨ Clear ash urns.

¨ Service and re-stock housekeeping closets

¨ Remove gum, wall spots and floor spots with
appropriate chemicals

¨ Wipe glass, picture, window and public telephone
areas.

¨ Strip check-out rooms when time allows.

¨ Pick up trash and dirty linen from housekeeping
regularly.

¨ Daily morning walk through checking and cleaning
public areas.

¨ Bring all dirty glasses to housekeeping at end of
shift.

¨ Rotate mattresses according to rotation schedule.

¨ Deliver guest requests within 10 minutes and call
operator back once completed.

¨ Gain knowledge of all hotel facilities to answer
questions from guests.

¨ Perform all other related duties as requested

¨ Assist Room Attendant throughout the day by retrieving
linens , guest supplies, and cleaning products when
needed

¨ Assist Room Attendant by stripping any vacant and
dirty rooms when necessary.

¨ Assist in Laundry

¨ Empty Housekeeping carts of dirty linen, trash etc.

¨ Assist in floor care

¨ Other duties as required

Job Requirements

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including
weekends and holidays.

Ability to work during the day is also a plus.
