| Job Description: | We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager who can manage our upscale but casual bistro.
This position has a direct impact on the goal of producing consistent, high quality levels of service to satisfy the guests and team members. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, coaching, employee relations and other operational duties. Candidate must possess strong skills on implementing service standards and follow-up along with hands-on training with the staff. Although this is a franchised Starwood property, we are owned and managed by the Real Estate Division of a major Worldwide Insurance Company We are looking for an energetic person to assist in the co-coordinating, supervising and direction of all aspects of our Restaurant operations while maintaining a profit and a high level of service. Upbeat, a competitive spirit, a great sense of humor and customer service driven!!! A friendly, outgoing demeanor with excellent communication skills and a strong people orientation! Must have a proven track record of increasing levels of customer service. Candidate should have previous restaurant supervisory experience, excellent communications skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude. Must be able to direct Team Members and ensure that every guest is 100% satisfied. Work with General Manager on service standards, scheduling, reviews and counseling, compensation of Team Members, advertising and promoting, effectively delegate responsibilities, ensure sanitation standards are exceeded, and promote a positive working environment. |
| Job Requirements: | * The preferred candidate will have proven leadership skills in a non-union environment. This is a hands-on position and the applicant should be self-motivated, energetic, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills.
* Maintains outlet staffing levels so as to provide for optimal performance * Ensures adherence to departmental and Hotel guidelines, policies and procedures * Responsible for smooth, efficient, cost effective operation of outlets to include labor management, supervision of all aspects of service, inventory control * Personally supervises outlet activities to ensure quality production/delivery of product/service * Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experience * Communicates daily with Executive Chef or Sous Chef in charge, providing current information on reservations, large parties or VIP's expected * Ability to maintain effective operating and control processes designed to provide maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria 2 years of Food and Beverage experience or a college degree preferred. Food server experience is preferred. Must have computer skills and mathematics skills Knowledge of a POS system Must be able to work any flexible shifts; including some evenings weekends and holidays. Have the ability to run a facility as it was their own. -Previous supervisory/management skills and experience -Maintain customer satisfaction as the driving philosophy -Personally demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction by soliciting and responding promptly to guest needs -Monitor reservations |
