Seeking an individual to provide friendly, courteous and efficient food and beverage service to all guests.
Hotel Overview:
The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii is a luxury AAA four-diamond Kohala Coast oceanfront resort with white sand lagoon, Hawaiian Spa Without Walls, golf, extensive meeting facilities, year-round children's program, five restaurants and tennis, all serviced with Aloha. We are currently looking for new colleagues to join our 'Ohana and share that Aloha here at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Norios and Luana Lounge Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques
* Control guest's checks and secure proper payment
* Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties assigned by the Outlet supervisor
* Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment
* Upon employment, all colleagues are required to fully comply with Fairmont rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities
* Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in an upscale, fast paced environment
* Work with the team to achieve greater results and positive relations
* Enhance guest experience with your food and beverage knowledge
* Ensure quality in food and beverages
* Perform duties as requested by supervisors/managers

Seeking candidate with High School Degree or
2-3 years of relevant experience required

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
*
Must have intermediate math skills including Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Will frequently need to be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, stoop kneel or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell and twist upper body
Will occasionally need to squat climb or balance
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to wet and humid environments and occasionally extreme non weather related heat
Visa Requirements: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
