JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to: Regional Director of Transient Sales
Summary of Position: Responsible for booking the FIT/Wholesale markets and international groups for three hotels.
Job Description:
1. Handle and maintain FIT/Wholesale accounts to increase business opportunities and create future partnership based on account plans.
2. Acquire new accounts in emerging markets that will maximize hotel exposure and create revenue results.
3. Manage and negotiate contracts with partners that will maximize revenue while satisfying client needs.
4. Within established parameters, quote and negotiate prices to confirm groups by issuing contracts.
5. Upon closing, coordinate and follow-up with other hotel departments to ensure delivery of superior guest's services.
6. As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations.
7. Conduct tours of the property as required, including familiarization trips and educational sites.
8. Be up to date with relevant market developments and working knowledge of the local competition.
9. Develop and execute promotions and marketing campaigns as needed to stimulate business opportunities.
10. Evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals.
11. Maintain action plans for assigned market.
12. Participate in weekly sales strategy meetings to review pace, budget, trends and market updates.
13. Work closely with Revenue team to achieve property and personal goals.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of Sales experience in the travel industry.
* Computer Literate - Microsoft Word & Excel
* Excellent communication skills
* Thorough knowledge of CRS and GDS system
* Self motivated individual that is goal oriented
* Team player that is able to adapt to change
