Job Description
The Leader in Development program is Omni Hotels &
Resorts? Leader-In-Development (LID) program is a
challenging twelve month curriculum designed to develop
entry level candidates and offer them expanded career
opportunities. Through a Self Directed Development Plan
a LID will experience hands on learning through their
respective division of the hotel. With the successful
completion of the LID program, the candidate selected
will have the tools that will enable them to be a
candidate for an entry level management position with
Omni Hotels & Resorts.The Rooms LID program at the Omni
Fort Worth will provide experience like none other. The
Rooms LID will spend 50% of their time in Housekeeping &
50% of their time at the Front Desk. The successful
candidate will be expected to join the Management team
of each department to motivate associates, drive
results, and exceed the guest expectations through the
day to day operation.
* Omni Hotels & Resorts? Leader-In-Development (LID)
program is a challenging twelve month curriculum

them expanded career opportunities.
* The program familiarizes participants with their
discipline of interest while providing exposure to
successful hotel operations on a broader scale.
* This program is a Self-Directed Development Plan
(SDDP) in which participants are responsible for
pursuing the completion of all necessary tasks and
requirements.
* Throughout this intense curriculum LIDs take a
hands-on approach to situational learning scenarios
and are regularly relied upon to utilize
independence of judgment.
* LIDs receive a high level of responsibility in
solving problems autonomously and are able to see
the effects resulting from their actions.
* This program requires participants to dedicate
roughly forty hours per week towards learning within
their field of interest.
* An additional ten hours per week are devoted to
completing Learning Contracts focused on all other
hotel functions. The completion of these contracts
occurs through meeting with mentors and experts in
these areas, and often through acting in a capacity
to fulfill a new role.
* A Hotel Mentor is assigned to the LID to help manage
progress within the LID?s discipline and across all
Learning Contracts.
* Although considered a ?trainee,? integration into
the management team occurs on the first day of the
program.
* The ultimate goal of the program is to launch
participants into a management position immediately
upon graduation as a LID.
Job Requirements
* Must be available as of June 2013
* Bachelor's degree required, Hospitality preferred
* Previous hotel experience and a passion for the
hospitality industry preferred
* Must be willing to work 50 hours per week
* Must show aptitude to be promoted
* Must have the ability to multi-task
* Excellent demonstrated written and verbal
communication skills
* Must display initiative and be a self-starter
* Demonstrated ability to follow-up
* Flexibility and capability to take on special
assignments/projects as directed by a supervisor
* Ability to relocate upon completion of the contracts
* Demonstrated leadership abilities to include
professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
