Additionally, they will be responsible for the following: Negotiate rates and Inventory with Hotel / Resort Product. Main Position goals are to achieve Pure Margin Dollar Revenue goals, To maintain competitive rates and inventory on the shelf (verses other third party and brand operators) and to build long term strategic relationships in the marketplace. The market manager is responsible for all aspects of product contracting and promotions in the destinations assigned. Market Managers are required to have strong revenue management, negotiation and sales and marketing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication is necessary. This position will interact with both internal and external teams to produce necessary results. Because this position will be virtual - individual must be able to work independently with the ability to travel to Orlando Base office once a month if necessary. About Expedia, Inc. Ideally the candidate would have knowledge of the markets assigned (Myrtle Beach and Charleston). Core Competencies: Analytical and Sales skills required.
