This trendsetting marina hotel is seeking supervisor and
bartending talent for "Fort Lauderdale's best kept
secret", the Pelican Landing, known for its spectacular
views of the Intercoastal Waterway and culinary
enjoyment, who thrive on providing impeccable service in
an unhurried atmosphere of understated elegance.
Previous bartending experience required for this
position.
Responsibilities
* Assist the manager in operational responsibility of
the restaurant.
* Learn all LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels and Pier
Sixty-Six Rules and Procedures for assigned area.
* Provide leadership among personnel and maintain high
morale.
* Conduct self in a Professional manner at all times.
* Ensure proper following of all service standards.
* Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of
the restaurant, stairs, storeroom, restrooms and
kitchen.
* Report all items in disrepair to the manager
promptly.
* Maintain employee appearance up to the Resort
standards.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
* Make the weekly bar employees schedule.
* Handle guest and employee issues.
* Communicate to the kitchen to keep the operation
running smoothly.
* Assist in creating and implementing new standards to
continuously improve guest satisfaction.
* Communicate all issues to outlet manager / Director.
* Participate in monthly staff meetings.
* Do month end bar inventories.
* Conduct employee training and participate in
supervisor training.
* Check all employees side work.
* Ensure that proper and prompt service is given.
* Be familiar with all opening and closing procedures.
* Assist with month end bar inventories.
* Completion of all assigned side work.
* Smile and greet the guest in a timely fashion, while
ensuring guests are happy and taken care of
properly, providing prompt service.

Minimum of two (2) years prior bartending and
supervisory experience is required, while serving
experience is a plus. The LXR candidate should hold a
food safety card (ie Serve Safe), must be able to stand
for an eight hour minimum during work shift and lift,
push and pull a minimum of 50lbs.
In order to best service our internal and external
customers, the LXR candidate will speak and understand
fluent English, must be able to work evenings, weekends
and holidays, as well as in an outdoor setting. Must be
able to work at a fast pace, smile and greet the guest
in a timely fashion.
Knowledge of Micros touch screen system is preferred and
having a knowledge of the marina industry is a plus.
