Location Information
Sous Chef assists in the training and supervision of the kitchen team. S/he is also responsible for assisting in food preparation according to IHR's high standards and great recipes. This individual must have the ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. For example; in Washington DC you will be required to have a health card permit; and in Oregon you will need to have a liquor service permit. Interstate is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer. Coordinate, plan and supervise the production, preparation and presentation of food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products. Responsible for supervising the production of food. Recommends and implements procedural/production changes. Monitors food and labor costs. Position reports to the Executive Chef. Hotel/banquet experience required.
