Skilled Engineer

The job of Skilled Engineer will have in depth training in Maintenance/HVAC/Refrigeration/Mechanical and performing journey level skilled maintenance to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns and provide for preventative maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Maintains hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
2. Replaces air conditioner filters.
3. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment.
4. May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
5. Respond to all alarm systems in the hotel including but not limited to fire panel, pool, radio emergencies.
6. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
7. Maintaining mechanical equipment to include; pumps, motors, electrical issues, commercial washers and dryers, commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC systems and/or refrigeration.

To do this job, you must be currently enrolled or have one of the following licenses or certifications before being hired:

LME License
HVAC License
PCCP Certificate
Certified Engineer Certificate

To do this job, you must have the following amount of total education and/or experience:

High School Diploma, or GED, an equivalent level of education and experience.
CPO certified a plus
OSHA certified a plus
