Job Description

Would you like to work with the best Food & Beverage
Management team in San Antonio? The ideal candidate
should strive to create the most remarkable hotel
experiences. The Banquet Manager will be responsible for
the strategic leadership of catering and event
management in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver
outstanding guest service and financial profitability
and assures that fundamentals are being met, guests and
employees are satisfied and problems are promptly
resolved. Add personal recommendations and touches to
achieve maximum satisfaction while complying with all of
Omni Hotels policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 4 years Food and Beverage management
experience at a luxury level. Fine dining experience in
a banquet and events capacity.

Direct and administer all Group and Local Catering Sales
and Event Management operations including, but not
limited to, revenue maximization initiatives, meeting
space management, negotiation of supplier services,
budgeting and forecasting, systems management,
department management and meeting participation and
facilitation.

Direct daily department operations, guest conflict
resolution.

Lead, monitor and develop team member performance to
include, but not limited to, providing professional
development, providing supervision, conducting
counseling and performance evaluations, providing
professional development and delivering recognition and
reward.

Recruit, interview and train team members.

Perform duties of Event Manager, as needed.

Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the
hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest
level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating
special requests whenever possible, will resolve
complaints in person, by phone or thorough written
message.

Develops relationships with return guests, group
contacts and other guests in order to provide
personalized service. Makes suggestions that will
improve revenue, reduce cost and increase guest
satisfaction.

Assures that financials goals of the division and the
hotel are being met. Monitors and controls labor
expenses and other divisional expenses such as supplies
and equipment. Assist in preparing business forecasts.

Takes action in all matters related to the safety,
security, satisfaction and well being of hotel guests
and employees. Responds swiftly and effectively in any
hotel emergency or safety situation.

Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers
and supervisors.

Empowered and empowers employees to create remarkable
moments for each guest, employee, visitor or client.

Full Time Management Position that requires full
flexibility, including the ability to work weekends and
holidays and a varied schedule.

A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of
others in a fast paced environment.

Refined verbal and written communication skills.

Bilingual is a plus.
