JOB SUMMARY:
This position assists in overseeing the restaurant, room service, lobby bar and
club room operations to provide good quality service, food and beverage presentation and guest experience Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Hourly Position Full Time $10.50-$11.50



Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of: a) All liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available to Room Service. b) The particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list. c) Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks. d) All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices. e) Daily menu specials, 86'd items. f) Guest room layout, locations and room numbers/names. g) Manual system procedures. h) Daily housecount, arrivals/departures, VIPs. i) Scheduled in-house group activities, locations and times.
Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness.
Complete requisition for additional supplies needed and submit to Manager.
Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness/organization deficiencies.
Ensure that assigned staff have reported to work; document any late or absent employees
Coordinate breaks for assigned staff. Assign work and side duties to staff in accordance with departmental procedures.
Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift.
Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.
Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.
Inspect table/set-ups; check for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with guest's order and departmental standards; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.
Assist Room Service staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
Access all functions of the P.O.S. system in accordance to specifications.
Check bar set-ups, buffet/reception tables and coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness and layout; ensure agreement with function order and department standards; resolve any problems.
Organize, coordinate, direct staff in set-up, delivery and retrieval of amenities in accordance with departmental standards.
Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out.
Provide feedback on staff performance to Manager.


Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities.

1. Micros experience
2. 2 years experience as Restaurant Supervisor.
3. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-60lbs
4. Vision abilities required color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
5. Must have good understanding of the English language.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
7. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
8. Compute basic arithmetic.
