Job Overview:
This is a Seasonal Full Time position for our winter season. The main function of the Server is to provide friendly, efficient service of food and beverages desired by guests and collect payment for such items. Provide an atmosphere of welcome and warmth; generated by a sincere concern for all guests' satisfaction. Payment must be received and accurately recorded.
Essential Functions:
· Effectively model and maintain resort mission statement and guiding principles.
· Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
· Effective in listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
· Complete opening/closing checklists according to standards.
· Welcome guests, take their orders, ring in order in POS system, deliver prepared order to guest and receive payment for order.
· Have full knowledge of entire menu, as well as daily specials, desserts, etc.
· Make and sell coffee, espresso, cappuccinos, tea and other products on the menu.
· Comply with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
· Ensure compliance with all health department regulations.
· Maintain the cleanliness of Outlet, complete side work as assigned.
· Have knowledge of beverage options to up sell aggressively.
· Meet and greet guests promptly.
· Attend all required meetings.
· Monitor guests for intoxication and report such findings to manager immediately.
· Daily check of physical plant of restaurant areas.
· Process credit cards and room charges, make change from cash register.
· Work flexible hours and shifts.
· Assist other departments as needed.
· Will cross train for other positions and may assume the role of other food & beverage positions including, but not limited to: Bartender, Cocktail Server, Host/Hostess, In Room Dining, and Market Cashier.
· Other duties as required.
