Hotel Overview:

The Fairmont Olympic is considered Seattle's most celebrated treasure, and a premier luxury hotel. Since opening in 1924, The Olympic has been the region's destination for prominent civic and social events, as well as honeymoons, birthday celebrations and in-city getaways.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to Purchasing Manager, the Relief Storekeeper will play an integral role in the successful operations of the Purchasing Department. More specifically, they will be expected to:

* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Issue goods to various departments in the Hotel as required
* Check in all goods and packages that arrive in the hotel, verifying all price description and quantities match up to appropriate paperwork or purchase orders
* Assist in the maintaining and ordering of all supplies that encompass all purchasing storerooms
* Assist in all paper work that is required to complete on a daily or monthly basis. 
* Previous experience is an asset
* Highly motivated and guest driven with the proven ability to solve problems and to make timely guest service decisions
* Ideally having product knowledge in Guest, Food & Beverage supplies
* Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions/projects while meeting deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) are required
* Basic computers skills with some Microsoft Excel experience
* Proven leadership ability that supports an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork, and exceptional customer service
* Must be highly health and safety conscious and actively involved in enhancing workplace wellness

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

* Constant standing and walking throughout shift
* Able to lift 50 pounds
