Prepare food items and assist executive and sous chef before, during, and after service.
Setup line and prep food items for service on a daily basis (30%)
Keep stations clean, organized, and fresh daily (5%)
Cook appropriate items at your station according to what business asks (30%)
Maintain appropriate temperatures for walkins, meats/poultry, etc. (5%)
Assists Executive Chef and Sous chef with training new kitchen personnel (5%)
Communicating Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and FOH (5%)
Assist Executive Chef and Sous chef with Banquets (5%)
Maintain appropriate par levels of food items depending on business levels (5%)
Help maintain organization and freshness of walk-ins (5%)
Presenting new menu ideas
Elaborate with servers about food items
Communicate with hotel personnel and/or other aspects of hotel business
Knowledge and Skills:
Education: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; culinary school
Experience: 2 years of employment in a related field with this company or
other organizations(s) preferred but not necessary.
Age: Must be 18 years of age
Skills and Abilities: Communication (English) skills and hospitality skills required
Ability to work with others in a close environment
Ability to work with sharp knives/equipment
Ability to work with extreme hot/cold temperatures of foods
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Food Handler trainable
# of assoc supervised: Varies depending on business levels
Travel required: None
Hours required: Must have flexible daytime and evening hour availability;
scheduled days and times vary based on need
