Board Service Manager

 
This position reports to the Food Service Director. This person will be responsible for supporting the board dining operations at the University, ordering food and supplies, secure receipt and quality assured storage, menu adjustments and execution under the Food Service Directors guidance. Additional responsibilities are financial control of products used and menu implantation as well as the housekeeping program, safety program and procedure adherence.

* Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customer and associate levels 
* Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices 
* Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet 
* Ability to perform various motor skills, such as lifting, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis 
* Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions 
* Exhibit tact, courtesy and reasonable speed in performance of duties 
* Strong client relationship skills

 

Necessary Qualifications: 


* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in hospitality industry including two (2) year in management in a college/university setting is required 
* Culinary experience, product implantation and menu costing experience is helpful 
* Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices 
* The ability to supervise food preparation, service and clean up is also essential 
* ServSafe Certification a plus 
* Must be able to pass criminal background check
