What Will You Do?
Coordinate and administer the operations in the food and beverage departments.
Manage the lounge operations and oversee aspects of the outlet operations.
Hire, train, supervise and direct staff in all beverage operations in the hotel.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff.
Assign and instruct beverage staff in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
Communicate with guests and employees in a positive and clear manner.
Listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide
accurate information. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency
situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for beverage staff
and other hotel employees. Interact with Food & Beverage and Sales
departments closely to ensure efficient department operations and quality guest
service.
Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in
order to choose the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take actions
based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising
procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Develop and implement basic operating standards for beverage service in
compliance with federal, state, local and standard practices.
Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance
with business needs.
Schedule staff and allocate product and equipment according to size of function
and/or house count.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
* Perform daily tasks including preparation of daily forecast, supervising daily adherence of all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
* Attend and participate in Food & Beverage and hotel management meetings as required.
* Plan, organize and conduct departmental employee meetings on a monthly basis. Oversee department Quality Team Program on a continual basis.
* Enforce hotel safety standards to ensure corporate compliance.
* Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the Director, Food & Beverage (i.e., special beverage promotions).

Previous Restaurant Management Experience Required.
Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.
