Based at our Greenwood Village Home office you will provide HR support to the Regional HR Directors and act as a consultant and advisor to all hourly employees, Managers and ROD’s. This is along with creating and maintaining a positive, productive work environment through constructive employment practices, implementation and maintenance of positive HR and progressive employee relations practices.
Knowledge and experience in employment law, benefits, employee relations, performance management and equal employment opportunity. Initial point of contact for employee relations issues; makes recommendation of appropriate resolution based on the issue. Conducts investigations and assists HR Directors on a daily basis. Serves as an advocate and consultant to HR related issues and performance management.
Other Duties Include
Primary point of contact for employee relations and HR related issues.
Track and report HR issues.
Conduct investigation and partner with appropriate individual for resolution of all issues.
Creates and maintains investigation files.
Compile data, reporting and analysis of investigation data and results.
Promote, encourage and ensure usage of the Red Robin Open Door Policy.
Advise hourly employees, Managers and ROD’s in areas of human resources, performance management, harassment, discrimination, and legal/employment issues.
Advise Managers on adherence to guidelines and documentation on disciplinary action issues and separations.
Work with Legal Department on active EEOC cases and legal claims if necessary.
Participate in the development, ongoing refinement and implementation of HR policy, procedure and systems for employee relations, performance management, benefits and employment practices; including the Team Member Handbook.
Assist Human Resources with general and administrative items.
Partner with Benefits on the interactive process of accommodations when necessary.
Support the HR Directors in E-Verify compliance for the field.
Assist Managers with unemployment claims.
Requirements:
2-4 years minimum experience in HR.
Payroll/HRIS system knowledge.
Demonstrated decision making and problem solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, efficiently and timely with a sense of urgency.
Effective planning, organization and time management skills and experience.
Proficiency in employee relations, multi-state employment law, coaching and counseling.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
MS Office proficient.
PHR or SPHR certification.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
