Job Description

Omni Bedfod Springs Resort & Spa is proud to be home of
one of the country's first golf courses. The course
offers an experience of the highest caliber to rival the
most prestigious of clubs. The remarkable layout spans
the work of three golf course architects- Spencer
Oldham, A.W. Tillinghast, and Donald Ross. The Bedford
Springs Old Course has experienced an $8 million
renovation overseen by noted golf course restoration
architect Ron Forse. The Old Course layout is a true
masterpiece with a wide range of classic features not
easily found today. These include five par fives and
five par threes. Small greens, "Serpentine" and
"Doughnut" bunkers, the "Volcano Hole" and "Tiny Tim", a
Tillinghast designed Par Three that has come to be known
as one of the most celebrated holes in all of golf
architecture. The course and staff offer players an
unparalleled golf experience.

The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional will be
responsible for the day-to-day golf operations. This
includes: golfers checking in, the Practice Range, pace
of play, the Golf Shop, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintain the day-to-day golf operation (this requires
knowledge of golf specific jobs and their associated
duties).

* Assist in all tournaments and outings.

* Assist with group and junior golf clinics.

* Communicate daily with staff and other departments
in regard to duties and activities.

* Supervise and train outside golf staff including:
Cart Staff, Player Assistants, and Starters.

* Assist Head Golf Professional and Merchandiser with
merchandiser duties.

* Maintenance of the Golf Handicap computer and
associated records.

* Cover shop shifts as required.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

* Comply with all property policies and procedures.

* Communicate daily with staff and other departments
in regard to duties and activities.

* Responsible for department and equipment
cleanliness, safety, and appearance.

* Respond to any reasonable task required by the Head
Golf Professional or General Manager.

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

* Work as an ambassador for the department among other
hotel associates.

* Volunteer for at least one resort committee

Job Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* College Degree Preferred

* Experienced Golfer

* Golf operation background Two years of Hospitality
Experience (Golf Preferred)

* Computer knowledge

* Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
