Job Description

In absence of HR Director, assumes role & responsibility
for the Human Resource Department. Will oversee
administratin of associate vacations, PTO, and other
leave policies. Will assist hotel managemetn with Labor
Relations issues, specifically griveances with contract
related matters.

*« Have excellent knowledge of Benefits administration,
Benefit & Employment Law, ERISA Law, FMLA, ADA, Worker'?
Compensation Law & standards within the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts, Wage & Hour Law.

*« Facilitate management training creation & production.
This includes monthly management training in accordance
with the Omni Training Matrix, and departmental service
training.

*« Ensure Leave of Absence Policy is adhered to,
tracked, and that correct documentation and action is
followed by departments & associates.

*« Has excellent understanding & knowledge of social
service & health programs available to associates
outside the hotel, to better inform associates of
alternative sources of help and/or guidance.

*« Works with departmental management to ensure that
Safety Training is alive & well in departmental
meetings, stand up meetings, and in the consciousness of
each hotel associate.

*« Monitor Unemployment Insurance claims and responds to
state agency. Works in disputes and Unemployment
Hearings to serve the best interest of the company.

*« Provides clear and concise documentation of all
associate interactions.

*« Consistently works to define Omni culture and Six
Pillar philosophy on the property. Reflects and adapts
to varying situations based on adherence to Omni culture
and Standard Operating Procedures.

*« Assist in planning and execution of associate events
planned by the Human Resource Department

*« Act as liaison to management for all associates.
Readily work within counseling sessions to promote value
of the associate, value of the property and compromise
methods of ensuring success within the Omni system.

*« Fulfill reasonable requests of management as directed

*« Ensure work area is clean and clear of debris or any
objects that can obstruct the job duties from being
performed safely, efficiently and effectively.

*« Responsible for clear and accurate documentation of
all associate issues, on a timely basis following
counseling and disciplinary procedures. Ensure legal
liability of the company is protected at all times.

Job Requirements

Must have minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience
preferably in a 4 - diamond hotel, Boston area,
Hospitality HR, and/or within Omni Hotels. Union
experience a plus. Experience to include but not limited
to, Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Training and
Employee Relations. Strong communications skills and
proficient in Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint. Must have College
degree.
