Would you like to be that Engineering professional who contributes to maintaining our quality standards? We are currently searching for an experienced Engineer for our luxury resort. The selected Ambassador will have at least 3-5 years of hands-on plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and re-finishing experience within a commercial environment. Exposure to hotel, resort, convention center, or multi unit facility highly preferred. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (07), Building Maintenance Management Systems (preferably Alerton) and familiarly with facility technology relating to lighting, alarms, and other automated resources also needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills required within this high guest profile environment. Commitment to quality, customer service, and the field of engineering necessary. Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (possibly 3rd shift on occasion) required. POSTION PURPOSE: To maintain all buildings and equipment throughout the hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: AVERAGE % OF TIME 45% Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to; carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, etc. 25% Prioritize work orders through urgent requests and established hotel area down times in order to minimize inconveniencing guests. Effectively interact with department managers is required. 15% Respond to guest room calls as required. 15% Complete any and all assigned preventative maintenance procedures. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
