Job Description
Essential Functions:
* Performs Security rounds of the hotel as follows:
a. All restaurants
b. All lobby areas and the associate?s entrance
c. All meeting rooms and parking areas
d. All guest floors
e. Executive Offices
f. All the back of the house areas
* Visits all locations requiring special attention as
frequently as required.
* Responds immediately to those emergency incidents and
Security requests to which he is assigned.
* Ensures maximum guest, associates, and hotel safety
and security at all times.
* Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in
enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
* Reports in writing on all activities during each shift
before leaving the hotel, with oral reports and
emergency notifications delivered as directed by the
established Security procedures.
* Performs duties as assigned by the Director of LP, LP
Supervisor, and responds to directions from any
Executive Committee member.
* Creates and maintains the highest standards of
Security at all times, being professional in attitude,
appearance, and application.
* Checks associates leaving and entering the hotel at
the beginning and end of shift, or at any time when an
associate leaves the hotel. Collects all package passes
and inspects parcels taken from the hotel.
* Monitors the Security of the receiving dock.
* Confiscates all unauthorized parcels etc., and
notifies the Director of LP and the appropriate
department head.
* Checks all I.D's of the hotel staff and provides
information and direction upon proper identification of
all job applicants, salesmen, etc. Notifies the
department head involved for permission for non-staff
personnel to enter the premises.
* Protects hotel from admission of undesirables and
others not conducting legitimate business within the
premises.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
* Understand all emergency procedures
* Understand all hotel radio codes
* Understands the Moments of Service Program
* Collects all doorknob menus and brings them to Guest
Room Dining (Overnight Officer)
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
¨ Basic computer skills - 2 way radio, Nextel, CCTV
cameras, and Report Writing skills.
¨ Have First Aid and CPR certification. Customer Service
oriented.
Physical Requirements:
¨ Extended periods of time on feet while patrolling the
property.
¨ Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Tools and Equipment:
¨ Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, computer
and printer
file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine, radios,
key control system, Nextel?s
TV monitors, and fire control system, VCR?s.
¨ Lift jack dolly, hand truck, camera, first aid
equipment, bell carts
Working Environment:
¨ Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to
extreme temperatures.
¨ Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
¨ Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
