Description:

Food server is a member of the Food & Beverage team. Requirements include: basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations and etiquette; knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items; basic English language communication skills; and the ability to carry large, heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout the shift; must demonstrate the a guest oriented and friendly demeanor.

This position requires a Pre-Hire Assessment as part of the application process. The Great American Grill located in the Hilton Garden Inn Windsor/Hartford is currently searching for new team member. FT position available.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver exceptional service by greeting and serving customers

* Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products

* Suggest additional items to customers, as appropriate

* Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions

Qualifications

* Minimum of 1 year experience in food service/hospitality desired, but not required

* Customer service focused and solution oriented

* Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment

* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers

* Basic math and written communication skills

* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs - AM/PM shifts available. Weekends a must!
