Job Description

o Omni Hotels & Resorts? Leader-In-Development (LID)
program is a challenging twelve month curriculum
designed to develop entry level candidates and offer
them expanded career opportunities.

o The program familiarizes participants with their
discipline of interest while providing exposure to
successful hotel operations on a broader scale.

o This program is a Self-Directed Development Plan
(SDDP) in which participants are responsible for
pursuing the completion of all necessary tasks and
requirements.

o Throughout this intense curriculum LIDs take a
hands-on approach to situational learning scenarios and
are regularly relied upon to utilize independence of
judgment.

o LIDs receive a high level of responsibility in solving
problems autonomously and are able to see the effects
resulting from their actions.

o This program requires participants to dedicate roughly
forty hours per week towards learning within their field
of interest.

o An additional ten hours per week are devoted to
completing Learning Contracts focused on all other hotel
functions. The completion of these contracts occurs
through meeting with mentors and experts in these areas,
and often through acting in a capacity to fulfill a new
role.

o A Hotel Mentor is assigned to the LID to help manage
progress within the LID?s discipline and across all
Learning Contracts.

o Although considered a ?trainee,? integration into the
management team occurs on the first day of the program.

participants into a management position immediately upon
