Job Description
The Bell Associate provides warm, welcoming and personalized greeting to all Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue's guests and their personal effects. S/he is responsible for elevating and maintaining the Red Lion Hotel Seattle guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Meets guests as they exit their mode of transportation or as they approach or leave the facility.
· Assist with luggage, calling taxis and providing directions to points of interests or location and types of lodging services.
· Escorts guests to and from rooms.
· Delivers and accepts messages, packages, special amenities, irons, ironing boards, etc., as required.
· Responsible for complying with standard methods and procedures in conduct, etiquette, dress code, service techniques, and knowledge of the hotel and its services.
· Promote all hotel functions and facilities
· Inform incoming guests on the following while assisting them to their room: restaurant hours of operation, location of vending/ice machines; Fitness Center information; emergency procedures and exit paths.
· Assist guests by taking luggage to the curb to meet their transportation.
· Remove trash, papers, cans, bottles, cups, etc., in lobby area between housekeeping runs.
· Sign for lost luggage from airlines and deliver to the guest's room.
· Book tours and assist guests with general information when Concierge is not available.
· Keep bell closet clean, neat, and organized.
· Polish and clean bell carts daily.
· Submit all lost and found articles accompanied by a Lost and Found report.
· Check laundry/dry cleaning in and deliver to room per guest(s) requests.
· Deliver faxes, messages, packages, flowers, wine, and other items to guests in their guestrooms.
· Check and secure guests' luggage until departure.
· Direct guests to various meeting rooms.
· Notify guests by telephone of delivery of automobiles, packages, or arrival of visitors.
· Works with guests to solve all transportation issues.
· Offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of the Hotel, other points of interest and entertainment attractions.
· Maintain the cleanliness of the Hotel lobby and Fifth Avenue Entrance.
· Report suspicious activities to the Hotel security or management.
· Assist concierge in the planning, directing and organizing activities.
· Perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Hotel Services and/or Supervisors.
