The Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport and Holiday Inn Express Phoenix Airport are looking for an affable, dynamic, and ambitious Director of Sales to join our team. This person will be a member of the Executive Committee and will have input into all major strategic decisions involving the hotel, as well as being a member of the Revenue Management Team, meeting regularly to discuss rate strategies and maximization. The successful candidate's sphere of influence will extend throughout all departments, not just Sales.

DOS experience is NOT necessary, but hotel sales experience is. We are looking for people who have that right winning attitude and personality!

Responsibilities include:
* Develop and manage the overall sales effort and key accounts for the hotel
* Manage and motivate sales effort for entire team to include a systematic and comprehensive marketing plan.
* Maintain and further develop existing accounts.
* Develop and solicit new accounts through networking and competitive research.
* Follow up promptly on any leads from Hilton.
* Work with Front Office to understand the PMS and manage yield.
* Ensure that necessary group and corporate detail is related to the front desk.
* Be a leader and role model to all employees.
* Keep up-to-date on all brand standards and initiatives.
* Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies.
* Develop and track the departmental budget.
* Comply with all hotel policies and perform other job duties as assigned by the General Manager.
* Professionally represent the hotel to customers and industry organizations with a strong customer service mind set.
* Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter who is a positive role model for Sales & Marketing staff as well as other hotel associates. Ability to be a mentor to sales staff to improve sales techniques and abilities.
* Ability to multitask and respond promptly to client requests
* Have good computers skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Good analytical and statistical skills
* Strong organizational skills.
* Contribute to a courteous, friendly, and professional work environment.
