POSITION TITLE: Banquet Server or Banquet Bartender
ACCOUNTABILITY: Banquet Manager, Asst Banquet Manager or Restaurant GM/DOC
POSITION SUMMARY: To provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to all banquet
guests, encouraging the guest to return again and create extraordinary banquet experiences.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To serve food and beverages at banquet functions in a timely manner and in an environment of
teamwork. Duties are as follows but not limited to:
\u0001 Thoroughly review BEO and all details of the event
\u0001 Set food and beverage buffets and tables as specified on BEO's
\u0001 Serve food and beverages to the tables or on a buffet, clear buffets and tables
\u0001 Responds to last minute changes or special requests that may occur during the event
\u0001 Work effectively with the kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure that events are successful
\u0001 Perform set up and breakdown of various food and beverage stations
\u0001 Gather products, set up and serve beverages as needed for bars and beverage stations
\u0001 Perform side work and other duties as assigned
\u0001 Post checks / Ring in orders
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Superior wait staff service skills
Position requires reading, writing and effective communication with departments and team
Completely understands the Kimpton meeting & banquet presentation standards
Basic understanding of Aloha (POS system)
Ability to present & conduct oneself professionally and Emulates the Kimpton Culture
TABC certification is required in accordance with Texas State Law.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Server will need to handle kitchen and service utensils, such as knives, glasses, etc. Floors may be slippery. Will carry large, heavy items such as tubs or trays, which need to be cautiously positioned and transported. Broken glasses or hot liquids are also present and must be carefully handled.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderated to loud.
