Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of some of the world's most prestigious hotels and resorts. Mandarin Oriental now operates, or has under development, over 11,000 rooms in 27 countries with 18 hotels in Asia, 13 in The Americas, and 12 in Europe and Middle East. In addition, the Group operates, or has under development, 14 Residences at Mandarin Oriental connected to its properties.

This position is located in our newest property addition in The Americas. Formerly known as The Mansion on Peachtree, the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta, luxury hotel comprises 127 spacious guestrooms and suites, providing guests with unparalleled views of the city. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant and lounge bar, as well as a wide selection of meeting rooms, including a 130-seat ballroom. The extensive spa facilities are complete with 14 treatment rooms and will feature signature therapies for which Mandarin Oriental spas are renowned.
Overview
We are searching for a positive and hardworking individual for the Front Desk. Must have exceptional guest service and communication skills, be able to work independently under pressure, and be able to work a flexible schedule (including weekends, evenings, and holidays). Previous luxury hotel experience and knowledge of SMS is an advantage. Responsibilities include process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in property management system, requesting form of payment, assigning room, and issuing room key in accordance with property policies and procedures.
Operate telephone switchboard station. Respond to and resolve guest requests, including wake-up call requests.
Requirements
* A least 1 year Front Desk experience in a Hotel
* Able to communicate written and spoken English
* Excellent overall communication skills
* Able to multi-task
* The ability to work well in a team environment
* Able to stand for extended periods of time
* Must be professional and possess excellent presentation, communication, organization, and effective time management skills
* Must have very strong knowledge of the restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatres, shows and attractions in Atlanta.
* Flexible schedules and hours, willingness to work on weekends & holidays is required.
* Multi-lingual is preferred
