Job Description
To provide valet parking, shuttle service, and bell/coat check services to Hotel/Casino guests in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
· Must maintain and follow all AAA four diamond standards for internal and external guests.
· Greet the guest with positive body manner, friendly demeanor in accordance with the 5-10 rule; open hotel doors for guests during slow periods.
· Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· This is a uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
· Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and propriatary information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Ameristar Casinos.
· Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance
· A Class C Commercial Drivers License required within 6 months of employment.
· Must be able to provide shuttle service for Hotel/Casino guests.
· Must have supervisor/manager approval on any shuttle service outside normal radius or use by internal guests.
· Adheres to the guidelines of ACCB parking and retrieval procedures.
· Explain to guests ACCB parking and retrieval procedure to ensure guest satisfaction.
· Must be able to sprint to/from vehicles.
· Maintain proper storage and labeling of guest keys and tags.
· Maintain appropriate logbook or records during shift.
· Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments.
· Keep the valet area and front of hotel entrance neat and free of trash.
· Must strive to answer the valet phone within 3 rings and maintain professional telephone etiquette
· Hand out valet tickets and perform damage inspections of all vehicles before parked.
· Hang coats and tag luggage for guests.
· Deliver messages, packages, suitcases, and run errands as requested.
· Deliver guest laundry to and from guest room.
· Escort incoming guests to rooms, assist with luggage. Offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of the property, points of interest and entertainment attractions; Explain features of room.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Must know and abide by all applicable federal DOT, state, and local driving regulations.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Able to drive a manual or standard shift transmission.
Required Natural Behaviors:
· Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Ameristar’s insurance policy
· Able to sprint to/from customer vehicles and reception area
· Strong Organizational Skills
· Must be able to display professional and friendly demeanor
· Ability to perform various duties at one time
· Must be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills while maintaining a fun and friendly environment
· Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to follow all polices and procedures including by not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
Required Education and Work Experience:
High school diploma or certificate from Educational Institute
