Essential Job Functions
To coordinate all phases of Small Meeting Groups with Meeting space(under 20 rooms per night) - contract, rooming list, billing, VIPs; upgrades; (pre, during, post).
To be primarily responsible for the booking and handling of all social Group blocks booked (social and corporate).
To be fully responsible for handling of new and existing accounts with under 20 rooms per night , BEO's, menus, etc.
To book functions accurately into SalesPro and ensure that meeting and room arrangements are to specifications.
To assist in supervising the banquet operation and to ensure the highest standards of service.
To handle all inquiries, site inspections and correspondence with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.
To skillfully merchandise hotel and to maximize room and banquet revenues through effective yield management.
To work closely with sales/catering department in order to maximize group& catering revenues by adhering to correct rates and prices.
To support strategic planning & long term development operational, financial and service goals of the Sales & Catering department
Plan and prepare with all outlets for events and coordinate unique requirements, to meet the clients needs, pace and degree of personalization while actively promoting Hotel services.
Identify, customize and deliver individual guest requirements.
Oversee, build and nurture strong relationships with clients and work with Sales & Catering to promote the hotel and maximize further business opportunities.
Maintain contact with historical and lapsed clients to re-ignite a relationship.
Work additional hours as needed or when requested by management
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Qualifications
2-3 years sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
College degree in hospitality or business administration is required.
Extensive experience in similar luxury establishment.
Experience in a similar operational area for a minimum of two years.
The specific strategic or operational knowledge needed to perform the job;
Conference Services
Consider processes and operational knowledge
SalesPro knowledge is a plus; understanding the software potential of Delphi in order to maximize the usage.
Financial accounting processes
Rooms experience is a plus
Work Environment and Context
Work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions with external and internal customers .
Stand, use hands to handle, control objects and tools, and use telephone and computer systems .
Face to face and indirect contact with the public .
Handle conflict situations as well as dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people.
Handle cash, other forms of currency and occasionally guests' valuables.
Maintain composure and patience during times of high hotel volume and during emergency situations .
Responsible for work outcomes and results .
Able to communicate well in English both orally and written.
