Hotel Overview:
The Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of banqueting and meeting space. For the last forty years, the Fairmont Dallas has been the setting for countless civic, social, cultural, convention and corporate events, but more importantly the setting for thousands of memories.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Manage the forecasting and budgeting activities and assist/train department leaders
* Prepare monthly account reconciliations and credit card receipts tracking
* Assist with the month end close process, including journal entry preparation and analyzing financial information
* Participate in the periodic inventory procedures
* Position coverage for A/P, General Cashier, P/R, Income Audit and Labor Management
* Track contracts and ensure compliance and timely renewal
* Draft periodic presentations using power point
* Review and approve expense reports and daily transaction packets
* Ensure financial records and transactions are maintained in compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures
* Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
* Analyze business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and internal process steps and recommend new processes or solutions to business and financial problems
* Actively participate in the departmental colleague engagement efforts
* Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
* Special projects and other duties as assigned

* Previous experience is an asset
* University/College degree required, with concentration in a related discipline a plus
* Previous Accounting and/or Hotel experience an asset
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate relevant computer applications
* Self starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, provide engaging service and possess problem solving abilities
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
* Constant sitting, standing and walking throughout shift
Visa Requirements: Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
* University/College degree required, with concentration in a related discipline a plus
* Previous Accounting and/or Hotel experience an asset
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate relevant computer applications
* Self starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, provide engaging service and possess problem solving abilities
