Is Hcareers a recruiting firm?

Q. Is Hcareers a recruiting firm?
A. No. Think of us as the world's largest online hospitality careers newspaper. We do not "look for" jobs for job seekers. Hcareers is an employment tool for job seekers and employers to get in touch directly.
Q. Once I have logged in, do I have access to all Hcareers sites?
A. Yes, Job seekers are "globally registered" and have access to functionality on all Hcareers sites.
Q. Can I search all Hcareers jobs from my home Hcareers region?
A. Mostly. The only jobs you can not search from your home region are the "local" jobs on other Hcareers sites that require a local work permit. To search these jobs, click on the link on the button bar to take you to the region in which you are interested.
Q. Is my resume searchable by employers on all Hcareers sites?
A. No. Your resume is only searchable by employers posting on your home Hcareers site. If you wish to have your resume searchable by another Hcareers region, you must post your resume on that Hcareers regional site. To visit another Hcareers site, just click on the link on the button bar.
Q. Am I able to reply on-line to jobs, while surfing another Hcareers site?
A. Yes. You can apply for jobs in other regions but you will need to create a resume in that site before you can reply on-line.
Q. What does "Work Permit Needed" mean?
A. When a job posting says, "Work Permit Needed: Yes", it means that you must have a permit to work in that country to apply to the job. The employer is not willing to provide or assist you in providing a work permit.
Q. If I have not been contacted by an employer to which I have applied, does this mean that they have not received my resume?
A. No. The employer will have received it, but please understand that many employers do not respond to all applicants. You may, of course, decide to follow up with an employer directly to be sure.
Q. Am I able to post my resume confidentially, keeping my contact information hidden?
A. Yes. You have the option to keep all of your contact information (Name, Address, Phone Number and even your e-mail address) confidential when you post a resume. Employers can still send you an e-mail without knowing your e-mail address.
Q. How can I view or modify my resume?
A. Once you log in, click on Post Resume on the main button bar and scroll down to see your resume. If there are changes you would like to make, click on Modify, make your changes and press Submit.
Q. How can I sign-up for other Hcareers newsletters?
A. On the Job Seeker Homepage of each Hcareers site, you can enter your e-mail address to become included in the newsletters of that site.
Q. How do I change my password or contact information?
A. It's easy! Just click into User Options at the top of the page once you have logged-in to Hcareers, make the necessary changes and press Submit at the bottom of the page.
Q. How do I reach Hcareers directly?
A. There are two methods in which you can reach our Customer Service Department. The first is via our feedback page (see our main button bar). We will return your message within 24 hours. Otherwise we are available at 1-800-832-3738 ext 0 7am - 5pm PST.
Q. How do I renew my Posted Resume or my Job Detective?
A. Your Posted Resume or your Job Detective cannot be renewed until one week prior to their expiration date. At that time we will notify you by e-mail. The e-mail will have a link to the renew page on Hcareers. Note: The renew page is only accessible from the e-mail notification.
