Hotel Monaco Baltimore resides in the top seven floors of one of Baltimore's grandest buildings, the former headquarters for the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad. The advent of rail travel created new possibilities of adventure with an ability to travel far and away from the place one calls home. A train ticket meant freedom, excitement, and discovery. Built in 1906, the Beaux Arts style edifice opened two years after Baltimore's Great Fire and was celebrated as a sign of the city's revival.
