Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar was founded in 1996 in South Norwalk, CT by Andy Pforzheimer and Sasa Mahr-Batuz.
After spending many years in Spain reveling in the cuisine & culture, Sasa & Andy decided to recreate the fantastic flavors, beautiful design, and easygoing lifestyle that they had so enjoyed.
At Barcelona, great chefs from some of the best kitchens in the US and Europe turn out some of the finest food in Northeast: tapas both simple and elegant, specials using the finest seasonal picks from local markets; and unusual specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean. Flavors are bold, and the ingredients speak for themselves.
As much work goes into the design of each Barcelona as into the menu. As with the food, the décor is sophisticated but understated. Each space is different, borrowing from the architectural traditions of Milan, Lisbon, London, Tribeca. A wide selection of fine wine and cocktails, as well as live late night DJ Music, make Barcelona a great place to eat, and meet.
With five locations from Greenwich to New Haven, Barcelona now looks to spread its passion for food and fun as it opens additional locations throughout the US.
