About American Cruise Lines

American Cruise Lines operates the newest and most modern fleet of small cruise ships, which includes four luxury overnight ships: the brand new 52-stateroom ship, the American Star, the new 52-stateroom ship, the American Spirit and two 31-stateroom ships, the American Glory and the American Eagle. All of the ships are American-flagged, staffed by an all-American crew, and have features such as huge staterooms with large opening picture windows, private balconies, elevators, satellite TV and DVD players in every stateroom, multiple lounges, library, and exercise equipment—all of which can be found on each of the American Cruise Lines vessels. The spacious Lounge, with large picture windows on three sides, seats all passengers comfortably, and is the setting for our complimentary cocktail hours each evening and used for special events during the cruise. The smaller lounges and library are perfect for guests to find a quiet retreat.

The dining experience with American Cruise Lines is a very special occasion. Each ship has a spacious dining salon that seats all passengers at one time and is surrounded by glass windows for a spectacular view. All dishes are prepared to order by highly skilled chefs trained at the most prestigious Culinary Institutes in America and France. There are a variety of choices that frequently include a specialty dish from the local area, and each dinner is served with complimentary wine. The chefs are excellent at catering to special diets and requests. The young, all-American staff is always accommodating, making sure that our guests dining experience is just the way they like it.

Expert historians and naturalists also travel onboard to enhance the cruise experience. They share their knowledge and passion for the local history and culture through open discussions, presentations, and tours. In the evening, local artists, musicians, and characters join guests and perform for them. On other evenings guests may join in a group game or activity, or enjoy a movie in the Lounge. Regardless of the evening’s events, our guests can always count on ice cream sundaes and root beer floats made any way they would like!

Small ship cruising with American Cruise Lines is not like cruising on a mega-ship for days on the open sea. Small ships, like the American Cruise Lines' Vessels, provide a more remarkable adventure, enabling no more than 100 passengers to experience personally and intimately, a multitude of fascinating destinations unreachable by larger, conventional cruise ships. American Cruise Lines' vessels are perfectly designed for inner explorations of off-the-beaten-track waterways and charming ports that passengers on large ships will never see.

American Cruise Lines is committed to our guests’ safety while providing them with the highest level of service quality available.  We are a team responsible for gracious efficient service always done with a smile and a positive attitude.
